Welcome aboard the Dawn II, a 46' fiberglass twin diesel charter boat, complete with air conditioning, lots of room and modern toilet facilities. Captain Larry Simns, a lifetime waterman of Rock Hall knows the area and the bay. He invites you to enjoy a day on the Chesapeake Bay fishing for striped bass, better known as rockfish. Trophy season runs from Spring to early Summer. Fall season starts in late Summer and runs until late Fall. Dates to be announced yearly. There are also many other species available throughout the year.

State of the art equipment such as Fish Finder, Loran, Radar and water temperature gauges are on board as well as modern fishing tackle, spinning rods, trolling rods, fishing lures, weights and hooks.  Bait is included.  Charter vessel Dawn II will carry a party of six, including children. Larger parties can be accommodated.  Safety equipment aboard the boat is fully approved and inspected by the U.S. Coast Guard. While fishing aboard the Dawn II, no individual license is needed. When you call, be sure to ask about season limits, size limits and creel limits on spot, perch, catfish, bluefish and croakers. Other species may also be available, depending on the time of year.

Sea Duck hunting parties can be arranged. For those who like to do a lot of shooting, bring plenty of shells.

Whatever your preference, there is something for every one. Come and enjoy the beautiful waters of the Chesapeake Bay aboard the Dawn II.

The price for all day fishing trip includes, bait, tackle and license. Deposit of $100.00 hold your date.
(Price does not include gratuity for the mate, 15% to 20% is general practice.)

For those traveling from the Western Shore of Maryland for a full day fishing trip with Capt'n Larry Simns, for your convenience arrangements can be made to pick you up at Sandy Point State Park located at the foot of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on the Western Shore or Kent Narrows on the Eastern Shore.  Fee is $600 minimum.
