Operation Oyster Long Line
Oyster long line project was a experimental project that was
funded by the department of natural resources to grow out oysters that where
hatched at the piney point hatchery The experiment was to see how much faster
you could get oyster to grow by suspending them in the water column and to see
if it could be made to be economical feasible for watermen or aquaculture to
make a living growing oysters.
